Car background:
Joe has had a long love of automobiles and going fast since very young.One of his earliest memories is racing around his neighborhood at age 4in a power wheels and turning the cal de sac into a racetrack. To those that know him it is no surprise where he has wound up. His real automotive experience started at around age 17 performing his first engine swap in a Honda Civic and it has been downhill ever since. After moving on from the honda world he found his way into Nissans with a 1997 240sx SE. It only remained stock for 4 months before the KA was removed and replaced with a S2 Rb25DET. That engine has served him well for years but racing and drifting was starting to become a priority in life and the RB25 was removed for a far more powerful and reliable powerplant, a 2000 chevrolet LS1. Being one of the first to perform this engine swap gathered the car MUCH attention and is it well known at whatever tracks he attends.
Driving Background:
At age 18 Joe started at the bottom with Autocross, after deciding that driving around cones in a parking lot wasnt the most exciting thing in the world he took up HPDE. Shortly after doing HPDE he got into drifting and a whirlwind soon followed. He began organizing drift events through TrialByFire and has the reputation for holding the biggest and best events the state of Arizona has ever seen. His personal career has flourished as well with the pinnacle being obtaining a Formula Drift Professional license in 2008.
Personal Background:
It is very hard to separate personal from car experience because they are very intertwined throughout his life. As a child his father worked for Penske racing and he was given a backstage pass to the workings of a professional top level indycar team. This has always stayed with him and is probably the reason he loves driving so much. In his free timehe is an avid hockey player and fan. He has been playing since the ageof 6 and now at age 23 has no plans to stop anytime soon.
