Background: I have been a long time Nissan owner (4 Nissans over 20 years and counting), repairing & servicing cars for just as long, dabbled in some SOLO1 racing with my 240SX. My first Nissan was an ’87 Pathfinder.
I ended up selling it after 180,000 faithful miles and drove a company car for awhile.
I missed my Nissan so much I ended up buying a ’90 240SX.
I fell in love with the 240SX when I saw the first one in ’89 and wanted one ever since.
Eventually it turned into my race car which was later sold to a fellow racer.
A change of job meant no more company car so I bought another Nissan, an ’03 Altima as a daily driver.
I recently traded the Altima for an ’08 Rogue as a CUV was far more useful for work and play.
My background is Electronics but my current field of work is Building Automation (HVAC controls). I fell into it by chance as prospects in the electronics industry dried up in the recession of the early 90′s. 15 years on, I still enjoy it and it’s nice knowing the system I install are helping to save energy, money, and the environment.
I have known about the NICO forums for years and started lurking here more frequently after I purchased my Rogue. My incessant posting got noticed and I was asked to take on the task of Rogue Forum Moderator in the spring of ’08. Being Canadian, I try to provide some unique insight on Nissan’s from north of the border and beyond.
Cheers!
