Bio:

Devin was born in Toronto, ON Canada on Leap Year Day 1976. He was imported to the USA in the early 80′s by his parents who were originally from Rochester, NY. Since childhood Devin has always had a metal thumb, but it was when a repair shop tried to take advantage of him that sparked his desire to fix his own cars. He attended the Toyota Technical Education Network through Monroe Community College where he achieved ASE status as well as becoming a Pro Level Toyota Certified Technician. From tire buster at Dunn Tire to line technician at Dorschel Toyota Devin worked hard to learn as much as he could but all he really wanted was to work on his Nissans. That landed him a job over on the Nissan end of the Dorschel franchise where he turned wrenches for a couple of years. Currently he works for Utica General Peterbilt selling heavy duty truck parts.

Devin is engaged to his girlfriend of almost 3 years, Carly. Together they have 2 cats (Aysu and Miu), an American Pitbull Terrier named Athena and a Ball Python named Neska.

His first experience fixing any vehicle was when he got a ‘hand-me-down’ 1984 Nissan Sentra wagon. With Haynes manual and cheap tool set in hand many things were learned. Sadly the Sentra, affectionately known as Red Car, was sandwiched in 1996 ironically by two other Nissans. Then came the 1981 Datsun 720. From there on out Devin alsway knew he had to have a NIssan truck in one form or another.

Devin joined NICO in 2003 and quickly began work as an online mechanic taking advantage of his access to Nissan documentation through his position at Dorschel. He then took some time off after leaving Nissan in 2004. He returned in 2008 as a moderator for 1st Gen Altima. Once again he took sometime off to just enjoy the site for what it was, he stayed on board as a supporting member but he couldn’t stay away for long. Once again he returned to the NICO staff, this time as a moderator for the NA KA24E/DE forum where he couldn’t feel happier.

Obsessed with tinkering with his D21 Hardbody, forever expanding his tool collection and his die-cast Nissan car and truck collection Devin lives and breathes Nissan. Luckily Carly accepts his childish ways and in many ways enables him to continue.
