Work
After school, I joined the Air Force and went into power production. My first base was in Minot, North Dakota. (Shudders…) I worked on large diesel generators for all critical base facilities. The biggest was a 16 cylinder Detroit diesel that put out 750 KW of power. The building had 4 of them…I had my first TDY (temporary duty) to the desert, specifically Bahrain. I was lucky enough to get an assignment after a year and a half to Aviano Italy. I spent 3 years in an Air Control Squadron, working on mobile generators. TDY’s were to a training area and southern Italy. I’ve been to Munich’s Oktoberfest…but I don’t remember much lol. Europe is a great place to visit, but after 3 years it was time to go. I decided to cross-train, mainly because I hated smelling like diesel all the time. My new career was as a Tech Controller. I was scheduled to fly from NY to Mississippi on Sept 15, 2001 as my class started on the 17th. The drive down the east coast was interesting after 9/11 to say the least. After training, my next base was in Warner Robins, Georgia. I was attached to a combat communications squadron, the 5th CBCS. Went to Iraq twice, southern Iraq first then Baghdad Int. Airport only 5 months after returning home from the first one. Decided it was time to leave the military after being turned down for an assignment because my commander didn’t want to let me go. I am now a network engineer (contractor) for the FAA, working on the WAN for their backbone services.

Play
My first car was an 85 Plymouth horizon…it didn’t take me long to pimp it out with a CD deck and a few 12” subs. Next was an 88 Olds Cutlass Supreme…again had the boom. My first sports car was a 76 Camaro RS with a 350 small block. Great car! Got me through my senior year of high school. Had to trade it in for a more “economical” car for my first years in the military. Enter the Buick Skylark, or my grandma car. No pimpage for this beast…I don’t even remember the year; I hated that car! Traded that in for another sports car, my 3000GT VR4! What a beautiful, fast car! Unfortunately, I had to sell it before going overseas. I borrowed a friends POS for a while, until I sat in a rain-soaked seat…time for a new car! She was a white 97 Firebird formula with only 150 miles on the meter. Some guy hit a deer, and smashed the windshield…my 3000GT guy fixed her up. I couldn’t resist the price for a brand new car. Drove the firebird all over Italy…you’d think it was a supercar by some of the people’s reactions (especially after the flowmasters were put on!) Next was a car for the wife, an 86 Fiat Ritmo. Sold it before leaving Italy, and bought a new Mitsu Lancer ES in its place. Modified the Firebird’s stereo and engine to the tune of 7k in parts. Next was my Honda Interceptor V4 bike…didn’t have it very long. It was too dangerous to ride a bike in Atlanta traffic. Sold the bike and firebird originally for a Corvette. However, not having a backseat made me rethink my choice. Found my 05 G35 coupe online and took it for a test ride. I was sold! Currently modifying the G for speed and sound. I’m keeping my eye on the new Camaro though…

My interests are in home audio/video, movies, gaming (PS3), and of course computers. I’m attending college full-time, so my free time is limited.
