Michael was born in Germany and came to the United States when he was about a year old. His father was stationed in Ft Knox at that time, where he retired. From the age of 1-4, Michael lived in Muldraugh, KY. Then moved to Radcliff, KY where Michael spent the rest of his childhood and some of his adulthood.
Michael has been a speed freak since about the age of 5 when he owned his first 50cc motorcycle. Michael attended many Ohio Valley events with his Dad when he use to drag race motorcycles. Michael also enjoyed riding around in his dad's ‘69 Camaro SS. Back then his mom drove a Pontiac GTO and then a Mustang.
A drunk driver killed Michael’s father in 1986 while he was out riding his motorcycle, Michael was 12 at that time.

Michael's life changed dramatically after that tragic event, more than he knew at that particular time. Since around the age of 13, Michael wanted to become a Police Officer. After graduation from High School, Michael attended Elizabethtown Community College while working as a manager at Captain D's Seafood. In 1993, Michael bought a 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R with 27k on the odometer. Michael knew nothing about this car or its heritage, he only knew it was calling his name. This 92 SE-R became Michael's daily driver to his current job at Captain D's and school. In 1995, Michael took on a new job as Office Manager of State Farm Insurance Company. But his true calling was Law Enforcement, which he got his chance in 1996. The Radcliff Police Dept hired him in January of 1996. Michael attended the Police Academy from Jan of 96 to April of 96 in Richmond, KY. His daily driver was still the 92 SE-R, bone stock and Michael still had no clue what he had.

Fast forward to Aug of 2001, Michael was hired on the Jefferson County Police Dept in Louisville, KY. At this time Michael had started to catch on somewhat to the craze of the SE-R, but his knowledge still barely scratched the surface. Throughout the year, Michael started to get this idea that he wanted to make his SE-R a project car.

After getting married on Febuary 2, 2002, Michael and his wife Gidget purchased a brand new car, A Vibrant Blue 02 Spec V. In September of 2002, Michael got his shot to make his SE-R a whole new beast. Michael took on the task with the help of sr20 forum member Ben Davis. Ben lived in Kokomo, IN and that's where the SR20DET transplant took place into Michael's 1992 SE-R. A couple of days after the swap, Michael and his wife moved into their first house with a two car garage. Over the next couple years, Michael would continue to modify his SE-R, and all the work done on the SE-R was done with his own hands. Throughout those years, Michael took on a beater SE-R project that was purchased for $100. A fresh JDM NA motor was transplanted into the little SE-R and it was brought back to life. 15k miles later the little beater was sold. The next project on Michael's plate, 1996 Infiniti G20.

Since 2002, Michael has done 2 SE-R JDM motor swaps, 1 NX2K JDM motor swap and 1 G20 JDM motor swap.

The final result of Michael's SE-R:

Part BlueBird, part Gti-R/ Johnnyracecar FMIC/ JWT ECU (4bar,bored MAF) / s15 480cc inj / S-AFC / Apexi TT/ Greddy Profec B / 2.5" DP / 3" custom cat back / Hyperco Gen 2's / KYB AGX's / ACT HD PP Clutch Net Copper-Fiber Disc / AD22VF brakes / Falken Ziex 512's / Kosei K-1 15x7 wheels. (8.08 @ 88mph in the 1/8) 263whp/255ft-lbs @ 13psi - before injector upgrade/ New Dyno results coming soon!
Michael says he can take apart a SE-R and put it back together blindfolded.
