History: I came across the Q45 sitting in a junkyard in Tampa Florida. I had been talking about doing something like this for a while and this was the perfect body to work with. So, bought the car and trailed it home in Nov of 05 and I’ve been working on it (when I can) since then. This has been a great experience for my friends and I, as this car is simply a learning platform of what’s to come in the future if funds allow me.At first, there were some if’s and and’s about whether the car would ever be completed. I could tell that not many people thought it would fully go through and become what it is today. There is still more to come as the car is nowhere near done as there’s still a lot of tuning that needs to be completed (suspension and power wise.)

I just love the G50 as a platform for building a car. You couldn’t ask for a better car over all; solid and stiff from the factory yet there is always room for improvement.Yes they are big and heavy but there’s a lot of stuff that can be taken out to make it lighter. However, you lose the luxury fast. This car was made to go sideways so there was never a need for luxury. We’re still working out some of the flaws but its coming together better than I thought it would have being this is my first carthat I have built like this.Drifting is hard on a car so breaking stuff is common and, with something new that no one has done before, I’m sure it’s going to have its ups and downs.

I would like to thank all of my friends who helped me out on this project: Brendon Bouge, Mike Vollink,August Agner, Tyler Raulerson, Brayn Fowller, Danny C., Tim P., Jeff Williams, andSECTION EIGHT DRIFT!
