2010 Nissan National Convention – Omaha, NE (part 5)

There was some pretty impressive iron on display at the car show. Best of Show runner-up went to a ’67 Datsun 1600 Roadster. Best of Show went to a beautifully-done KA-T powered S13 Coupe, decked out in pristine black paint. Best Engineered went to Wes Dumalski’s black B14 Sentra with a boosted SR, and the Longest Drive award went to Raul Fileto and co-pilot Cesar Delatorre, who drove out 1,573 miles from Los Angeles.

After the car show judging was done, all the Nissans lined up on the Mid-America finish line for some group pictures by our very own Justin McBee (justinmc).

As everyone was chowing down on the catered picnic, we began awarding raffle prizes. The sponsors who stepped up to support this event really deserve a special THANK YOU, so keep them in mind as you’re shopping for your next parts purchase. Without them, none of this would have happened. The following prizes were awarded:

2 cases (24 qts) Amsoil 5w-30 Oil from TunerZstore.com
1 OBDII Cable and NDSII Software from BlaZt tuning
1 OBD Cable and Datascan Software from BlaZt tuning
4 $50 Gift Certificates from SparkPlugs.com
1 Aluminum Replacement Driveshaft from Shaftmasters.com
1 $50 Gift Certificate from FestiveGarage.com
3 $250 Gift Certificates from Tokico
10 T-shirts from Tokico
5 Nissan Power Pups from BullyDog Tuning
2 $25 Gift Certificates from RockAuto.com
1 03-06 350Z POP Charger from Jim Wolf Technologies
1 350Z/G35 Oilpan Spacer Kit from Jim Wolf Technologies
1 B13/B14 Lower Control Arm Brace from Overkill Engineering
1 SR20DE/VE FWD Intake from Overkill Engineering
1 Osiris Tuner from UpRev
1 Osiris Standard from UpRev

With that, old and new friends packed up and parted ways, promising to return again next year, no matter WHERE the Convention might be held. Special thanks to Justin McBee, James Sisson, Cesar Delatorre and Becky Childs for providing the bulk of the pictures for this article (sorry if I missed anyone). Thanks to all who came out and participated in this event. We’ll see you all in 2011!
