Installing SPL Traction Rods on s14

Tools:

Socket set and wrench
Jack and stands
Penetrating fluid
18mm allen key (optional?)

Procedure:

Lift the car and support on stands to get some clearance to work. Make sure the vehicle is stable before attempting to work.

The process is as simple as removing three bolts per side and removing the old units, then replacing everything with the new parts in reverse-order.

First, remove the large bolt at the front:

Then the 2x smaller bolts at the rear:

Replace the old rod and worn bushing with the new unit:

for the rear bolts above, you may or may not need the 18mm allen key to tighten them while the nut is held from below.

After everything is tightened down to the specs in the fsm, lower the car. It would probably be a good idea to have the car re-aligned professionally after any kind of suspension work like this.
