Nissan Shows Off Performance Vehicles at 2007 SEMA Show

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (October 29, 2007) – Nissan’s ninth year at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas marks a celebration of Nissan performance vehicles, all leaders in their respective industry segments.The company is proud to present two custom 2008 Altima Coupes, three 350Z sports cars, two Sentra sedans, two Titan trucks, all built by aftermarket vehicle suppliers/customizers, as well as a special Xterra SUV project created by Nissan’s own engineering staff.These ten vehicles will be on display from Tuesday, October 30 through Friday, November 2 at the Nissan SEMA booth (#33945, upper level, South Hall).

“Nissan is thrilled to be at the 2007 SEMA show with a full array of vehicles, from our 350Z sports car to our full-size Titan trucks, which once again proves that Nissan vehicles are the premier foundations for creative expression by their owners,” said Bill Bosley, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division.“What I’m most excited about is how SEMA offers Nissan and its customers a glimpse to the over-the-edge performance potential of the all-new 2008 Altima Coupe, just like our partners did last year with Versa.”

NISMO, the premier supplier of high-performance aftermarket parts and accessories for Nissan vehicles will exhibit a variety of NISMO performance components, accessories and apparel.

Following is a partial list and information of the Nissan vehicles on display at the 2007 SEMA Show:

Fox Marketing Altima Coupe
Built by Turbochargers.com, the Fox Marketing Altima Coupe features a custom style not yet seen in the marketplace and a 450-plus horsepower VQ-series engine.BASF R-M white paint with black accents set off this unique coupe, and a custom-fit Extreme Dimensions front lip spoiler, combined with a 1.8-inch drop courtesy of Performance Springs, give the Fox Marketing Altima Coupe an aggressive stance.Additional style and performance is provided by a Brake Pros AP Racing 13-inch, 4-piston caliper brake system and mesh-style Privat NEV wheels, sized 20×8.5 inches, with a silver painted center and polished lip, wrapped in 245/30R20 Toyo T1R tires.

The Fox Marketing’s Altima Coupe 3.5-liter V6 received a turbo kit built by Artisan Performance Turbo featuring a Turbonetics GTK650 turbo, “Evolution” wastegate, “Raptor” blow-off valve and a large Artisan Performance intercooler, measuring 26x10x3.Additional fuel is provided by an Artisan Performance fuel rail and 650cc injectors, while spent fumes are expelled through a three-inch Artisan Performance turbo-back exhaust.For additional performance and reliability, the Altima Coupe features an Artisan Performance crank pulley and performance oil lines.With all of these underhood additions, extra room was needed, so the battery has been relocated with a special Artisan Performance kit.

Inside, Artisan Performance seat brackets hold Yonaka Racing black leather racing seats with red stitching, providing occupant comfort, while STRI 60mm boost, oil pressure and exhaust gas temperature gauges give the driver all necessary information.A custom Rockford Fosgate audio system finishes off the interior.

STILLEN Altima Coupe
STILLEN has long been in the forefront of Nissan personalization, and the Altima Coupe is their latest target for the 2007 SEMA show.“The Altima Coupe comes well-equipped in both the looks and power department, which is why we chose to focus on subtle, yet effective improvements,” said Mike Ullrich, marketing coordinator, STILLEN.

STILLEN’s modifications to the exterior of the Altima Coupe include a custom window tint, front spoiler, rear deck wing and roof wing.Under the hood, a STILLEN intake provides more power and a high-flow stainless steel exhaust with dual mufflers give the Altima Coupe an authoritative exhaust note.

The suspension received new Eibach springs, dropping the Altima closer to the ground, and wheels are 19×8-inch Privat Zentralles shod with BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDW tires.AP Racing 4-piston calipers with 13-inch drilled and slotted STILLEN rotors bring it all to a halt.

STILLEN upgraded the Altima Coupe’s interior with a full leather interior by Katzkin, while in-car entertainment is provided by a Sony Bluetooth-enabled Head Unit and Rockford Fosgate speakers, amplifiers, wiring and subwoofers.

STILLEN Sentra SE-R Spec V
STILLEN gave the new Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V the full “STILLEN treatment,” and its intentions are immediately announced with its two-tone Solar Yellow and flat black paint scheme set off by a silver design, combined with a dark window tint, STILLEN front lip spoiler and rear roof wing.

Performance is increased by a STILLEN exhaust system and STILLEN front brake upgrade with two-piston calipers and 13-inch drilled and slotted brake rotors.An Eibach Pro Kit spring package and 18×7.5-inch Konig Hot Swap wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDWs give the STILLEN SE-R an aggressive stance and style.

Inside, the STILLEN SE-R received a complete in-car entertainment system with a Sony Bluetooth enabled Head Unit and Rockford Fosgate speakers, amplifiers, wiring and subwoofers.

“The STILLEN Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V takes this sport compact hero one step further, focusing on all aspects of the driving experience,” says Ullrich.

714 Motorsports Sentra 2.0 S
714 Motorsports Sentra has undergone an extensive customization process, which includes new paint, interior, sound system and engine enhancements.“Our goal was to create a Sentra that will really stand out in a crowd,” said Manny de Encio of 714 Motorsports.

First, the stock exterior color was changed to Candy Orange with Flat Black graphics, applied by Santini Paint and Body with paint provided by the ALSA Corp.Other enhancements include a STILLEN urethane lip kit, trunk wing and rear window wing, and a custom T-Rex upper and lower billet grille.The Sentra was lowered two inches with an Eibach suspension kit and a STILLEN AP Racing 13-inch Big Brake kit was added to the front end, as were 18-inch MOMO Ten-S wheels with Toyo Proxes 4 tires.

Under the hood is a STILLEN front strut tower brace, a fully-polished ram air intake system by Injen and two 1400 Kinetik Power Cells for the considerable in-car audio system.An Injen 2.5-inch cat-back exhaust system provides additional power and sound.

Extensive work has been done on the interior of the Sentra, first by a change from cloth to leather and suede.MOMO seats have been fitted for the driver and passenger, including a custom MOMO embossed logo print by Roadwire.

Other MOMO interior accessories include a custom steering wheel, three-piece pedal set, gearshift knob, emergency brake and floor mats.All other interior trim has been reworked with a combination of black suede and custom paint, matching the exterior livery.

In-car entertainment is provided by Polk and MOMO, with four amplifiers – three Mono Blocks and one 4-Channel – and three 12-inch subwoofers mounted in the trunk.

GT Channel 350Z Roadster
GT Channel coordinated some of the premier names in the aftermarket to create this Z Roadster.Painted by Sixteen Customs, the Roadster features a Vertex Lang aero kit, made to look more aggressive by a lowered coilover suspension by Mine’s and 19×9-inch front and 19×10-inch Work Wheels shod with BFGoodrich KDW tires, all installed and tuned by Steve Mitchell of M-Workz.

Under the hood, the VQ35 engine received an HKS GT Supercharger (the first kit in the U.S.), HKS fuel management system and Titanium exhaust.The increased power is backed by upgraded components, including NISMO clutch disc, flywheel and locking differential, and stopping power is enhanced by a STILLEN AP Racing brake system.

Finishing touches were then applied to the interior and include Bride carbon fiber reclinable seats and a full Pioneer audio system.

Performance Nissan of Duarte/MyNISMO 35th Anniversary 350Z
Starting with a rare Super Black 35th Anniversary 350Z, Performance Nissan of Duarte, Calif. created the ultimate naturally-aspirated sports car.Exterior modifications include NISSAN Kouki Bi-Xenon headlights, LED taillights and NISMO carbon-fiber pillar trim, while Performance Nissan’s 350Z features two different looks depending on mission – street or track.

For the street, the 350Z features ASUKA Designs carbon fiber hood, roof overlay, mirror covers, A-pillar trim and hatch, as well as a PowerHouse Amuse full aero kit.For the track, INGS accessories are fitted – an N1 Type-E Long Nose aero kit, front carbon canards, Type II Carbon Aero bonnet, a 1480mm Z Power Type II Carbon GT Wing and LX Fenders.

For the maximum in naturally-aspirated performance, Performance Nissan started with a new long block and added a Jim Wolf Technology Popcharger, UR crank pulley, STILLEN engine dampener, and variety of components and accessories from NISMO, Motordyne, MOTUL, SUN Automobile, ARC, JIC and SAMCO.NISMO R-Tune headers and an S-Tune exhaust system, with Crawford high-flow catalytic converters provide relief for the tuned engine, which produces a dynoed 290 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels.

Drivetrain modifications include a Jim Wolf Technology flywheel, NISMO clutch disc, pressure plate, MOTUL fluids and CUSCO type-RS 1.5 limited slip differential.Off-the-line performance was increased with a 4.083 ring and pinion from Nissan.

A KW Suspension Variant 3 system controls ride height, compression and rebound adjustability, while handling is further improved by CUSCO front adjustable camber arms, an ARC Ti. strut tower bar, NISMO S-Tune sway bars and GT Spec front and rear tie bars.VOLK GTF wheels, sized 19×9.5 inches in front and 19×10.5 inches in back with Toyo T1 255/35R19 (front) and 275/35R19 (rear) tires are used for street duty, while INGS TS06 18×9.5-inch and 18×10.5-inch wheels with Bridgestone RE-01R 245/35R18 (front) and 275/30R18 (back) tires are used on the track.Braking is provided by a Project Mu Racing with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers.

Interior modifications include a Bride Zeta III driver’s seat and Bride Brix II passenger’s seat, SPARCO harness bar, Personal Neo Grinta 330mm steering wheel with Works Bell Rapfix II quick release and a NISMO GT titanium shift knob and floor mats.

In car entertainment was installed by Creative Car Audio and created by Pioneer, including an AVIC-D3 A/V navigation system, TS-C160R 6.5-inch component speakers, TS-D161R 6.5-inch coaxial speakers, two GM-3300T two-channel amplifiers, GM-5300T two-channel amplifier and two TS-SW2541D ten-inch “slim” subwoofers.

Enjuku Racing “Project Z Drift” 350Z Roadster
As a specialist in Nissan performance, EnjukuRacing.com is debuting at Nissan’s SEMA booth one of two Nissan 350Zs they’ll be campaigning in the 2008 Formula Drift and NOPI Drift competitions, a Z Roadster called “Project Z Drift.”This Roadster, with looks and performance inspired by Japanese Super GT cars, will be driven by former open-wheel racer and Pikes Peak hill climb champion Robby Unser.

“This is the second time we’ve campaigned Nissan cars in a drift program, but the first time we’re working with the legendary Z,” said Ken Harrison, Enjuku Team owner, “This is the first time we’re showing our Z Roadster to the public, and soon we’ll have a matching Z Coupe.”

The Enjuku Roadster has received myriad upgrades throughout the vehicle for drifting competition, contributing to a curb weight reduction to 2,852 pounds in race trim.Under the hood, the VQ35’s output has been raised to 450-plus horsepower through the use of a STILLEN Stage 4 supercharger and a Berk Technology exhaust, among other upgrades.

The race-ready look was achieved through the use of SEIBON carbon fiber body panels and a BRS body kit, while the imposing stance has been created with a Battle Version suspension featuring Stance coil-over shocks.Traction and braking comes from a Wilwood brake system and RAYS wheels, shod with large, sticky tires.For additional race-readiness, a PIPER roll cage has been installed.

“The 2007 SEMA show is the perfect place to showcase the Nissan brand as it relates to the sport of drifting and the ability of Enjuku Racing to produce a top notch race car,” said Harrison. “We’re thrilled to be working with Nissan and also thank our sponsors for helping this project come to light.We look forward to campaigning this modified Roadster and our upcoming Z Coupe in 2008!”

Automotive Customizers/www.4x4parts.com Titan King Cab
Returning to the 2007 SEMA show with yet another Titan full-sized pickup, this time a King Cab model (2006 featured a Crew Cab), Automotive Customizers create the “ultimate hunting vehicle,” complete with a full-camouflage exterior treatment.

The exterior of the Titan King Cab has been fitted with a specially modified ARB Winch Mount Bull Bar in front, a special camouflage rear hitch-mounted Freedom Grille, IPF off-road lights, an Off Road Unlimited cargo rack with accessories, a Nissan tool box and overhead rack, Automotive Customizers skid plates, AMP Research side step bars, ATS Design fender flares and a Mile Marker 12,000 Pound electric winch.

The Titan King Cab’s ability to seek out off-the-path hunting trails is enhanced by a Performance Accessories 3-inch body lift, a ProComp Suspension 6-inch suspension lift, Automotive Customizers\’ 2.5-inch lift coils, an Eaton True Trac Locker differential and Total Chaos Fabrication lower control arms.Finishing off the suspension are 18×9-inch Dick Cepek wheels and 37-inch Dick Cepek mud tires.

Under the hood, Automotive Customizers installed JBA Performance headers and exhaust system, a Jim Wolf Technology high performance cam set and a Volant intake system.A special TJM snorkel provides fresh air to the engine when treading deep water.

Interior improvements include a Rockford Fosgate stereo system, a Magellan GPS System, Wet Okole seat covers and Nissan first aid kit, floor mats and under-seat storage bin.

Nissan Technical Center North America (NTCNA) “Project X” Xterra
Not to be outdone by outside shops, the engineers at NTCNA tried a customizing exercise of their own, creating the “ultimate” Xterra, combining the best from Nissan’s parts bin and top-tier aftermarket suppliers.Maintaining the inherent style of Xterra was key, with minor exterior additions of CALMINI front and rear off-road bumpers and rocker skids, as well as a custom paint scheme applied by Drew Brothers Customs in Phoenix, Ariz.

The biggest surprise comes under the hood, where the original powerplant has been replaced by a 300-plus horsepower 5.6-liter V8 engine and transmission from the 2008 Nissan Titan.The engine remains stock, other than a custom 2.5-inch mandrel-bent exhaust by Apache Muffler.
Advance Adapters provided a two-speed transfer case, and Tom Wood’s Custom Driveshafts created front and rear driveshafts.

Xterra’s legendary off-road capabilities have been further enhanced by American Axle electronic stabilizer bar disconnects, a GKN electronic locking front differential, a CALMINI 5-inch suspension lift kit, and custom-built Centerline wheels with 33-inch BFGoodrich off-road tires.To add additional visibility for tough-terrain off-road excursions, a VisorView exterior camera system has been added, which features cameras mounted in the front, rear and under the body.

Inside, the Project “X” Xterra features Wet Okole waterproof neoprene seat covers, a Clarion DVD multimedia stereo head unit and Rockford Fosgate amplifiers and speakers.
