Nissan Online Mechanic

Bio:

Oi! My name is Kenny and I’ve been a member of NICO since September of 2006. I was born in Westlake, OH and have lived in the the area for my entire life. My first experiences dealing with cars began in my father’s garage as I was growing up. I learned to do basic maintanence such as brakes and front end work about the age of 12 and I haven’t looked back since.

I graduated high school and was working at Sears in the hardware department at the time and I decided it was a time for a change. I contacted the manager of the Sears auto center just across the parking lot from the store. He took me on as a tire and lube technician. I worked for him for about 9 months and realized tires and oil changes wasn’t where I wanted to be either.

I took a job working for a full service auto care center. It was there I began picking up the various amount of skills I would need in the industry. After I left that job, I found myself at the door of National Tire and Battery. I soon realized that a former high school friend of mine was working there at the time. Turns out Josh (nsr_s13), was/is a Nissan nut and he convinced me to look into a better car than my 1993 Cavalier.

I got my first Maxima in July of 2005 and I joined NICO in September of that same year. For four years, I slowly upgraded the small things on my 98 Maxima. I started with the usual intake and exhaust and made my way up to a Tein Basic coilover suspension. From there I added a couple of cosmetics like 18″ 6th generation Maxima wheels and window tint. I also upgraded the clutch to a high performance sprung street disc. Sadly, it was totaled in September of ’09. I immediately began looking for a replacement.

That replacement came in the way of another Maxima. This time, a 2004 Elite edition. For this car, I only have one adjective: comfortable. In southern California and need a hand or just want to grab a beer? Give me a shout!
