Staff Bio Becky (nissangirl74)

Business Manager

Becky was born and raised in Greeneville, TN. At an early age, her father instilled in her an appreciation and love for the open highway and memories that can only be made on a road trip. When she was seven, the family drove from Tennessee to Arizona to visit family, see the Grand Canyon, and the Red Rocks of Sedona. When she was 13, she and her dad took their last road trip together, a trek from Tennessee all the way to Washington State with stops in Yellowstone and the Grand Teton National Parks.

When she was 19, she bought her first Datsun 210 and immediately fell in love. Most of the people she knew at the time either drove a Datsun or worked on one, so she learned as much as people were willing to teach her and eventually got to the point where she could work on her own. Over the course of her life, so far, she has owned five (including the parts cars). The theft of her last one was what ultimately led her to NICO. The night she found out it had been stolen, she sat down at her computer and typed “Datsun 210 for sale” into the Google search bar. The number one result was a NICO thread. When she clicked that link, her life changed forever. Fast forward eleven months and you will find that she and her daughter have moved 1900 miles to the Arizona desert where she is happily married to Greg (AZhitman) and helping him run the forums.

Two years ago, she bought her favorite vehicle to date, a 2005 Nissan frontier 4×4 Crew Cab 6MT. Just like all the other vehicles that come through the family garage, it has had a few modifications, though nothing drastic. A very nice tint job, new wheels and tires, chrome mirrors and trim, and of course, a NICO windshield banner. She also has a project 1972 240z named Bella who is undergoing a RB25 swap and restored interior. Her favorite classic in the garage is a 1967 WRL411 named Alice although she does love to tear up the neighborhood in the 1967.5 Roadster.

She spends her days keeping up with a 14, 13, and 11 year old (the 18 year old is now a soldier in the US Army), maintaining the household, looking after the eclectic zoo of animals, paying the bills and making sure no one starves to death. In her spare time, you will most likely find her in the garage or posting on NICO.

Greg

Greg is the owner and CEO of the NICOclub Network, and when he's not restoring an old Datsun, you can probably find him hard at work building the best damn Nissan resource on the web.
