Nissan ‘Sales Talk’ April 1995

At a time when Nissan was arguably building its best vehicles, Nissan Corporate communications took the form of a professionally-designed monthly magazine packed full of helpful information, updates, and educational material. We’ve obtained a copy of the April 1995 issue, which contains a letter from Michael Darrow, Nissan’s Truck / Pathfinder / 300ZX Model Line Manager:

“1995 marks a milestone of which we at Nissan are especially proud: 25 years of the Z car. Back in the 1970 model year, the 2402 revolutionized the import car market when it arrived on American shores. Its styling, performance and exceptional value made it an instant hit with buyers. Since then, the 2 has evolved through four body styles and five model names, but has always maintained its original spirit of sports car innovation and excellence.

In this issue of SalesTalk, we take a look back at the history of the Z, from the earliest ideas of Nissan visionaries to the 2’s current status as the preeminent sports car on the market. We’re sure you’ll enjoy this look at the ‘making of a legend’ as much as we enjoyed putting it together for you.

After you’ve learned a little about Nissan history, we invite you to get up to date on Nissan in the ‘905. Beginning on page IO, a detailed review d Nissan remote control vehicle security systems will help you present this important feature with confidence. And in this month’s ‘Your Best Return,‘ we introduce you to The Nissan Way, an initiative designed to help us sustain our sales success into the next century. We also update you on important changes to Nissan’s Owner First customer satisfaction surveys.

Nissan’s illustrious past and current successes are outshined only by our potential for the future. Great products and satisfied customers are the keys to our long-term success, and yours. We challenge you to excel in your understanding of the products you sell and in the service you provide to your customers. By making this commitment to excellence, you help ensure that your future – and Nissan’s – will be a bright one.”

We’ve scanned the entire magazine for you guys to peruse – I learned a couple new things, and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did! [Click images for full-size versions.]
