Projector Wiring Detail (fog lights w/ lowbeams)

December 10, 2009 by Greg

Overview:

Wire the projectors up so the fog light comes on with the low beams:

Difficulty: ***

Time: 1-2 hours

Cost: n/a

Tools:

– wire cutters
– soldering iron
– box cutter

Materials:

-12-inch long black wire stripped and exposed on both ends
-12-inch long red wire stripped and exposed on both ends
-2 female spade connectors
-electrical tape

Procedure:

*Disconnect Negative Battery Cable*

There’s a black wire (-) and a green wire (ALT) on the low beams of the projectors. Strip a little of the wire protector covering off of these two wires using the razor blade. Be careful not to cut yourself or the wires. Always cut away from the body like they teach in boy scouts and the Army.

Attach a female spade connector to each of the 12 inch long wires. Next twist the black to black and the red to green then solder them together and tape them.

Now just attach the female spade connectors to the fog lights and put your projectors back on.

Connect the battery power and enjoy.
