Michael’s 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R was purchased in Oct. 1993 with only 27k miles on the clock. At the time, he was 18yrs old and had no clue of what he had really purchased nor the possibilities that would become available for the ride. The car stayed “bone†stock for 10 years before Michael began to learn about what those possibilities would result in.

The “mod bug†hit hard after taking a ride in a SR20DET equipped SE-R.In Sept. 2002, his stock SE-R received a transplant, a U12 SR20DET, also known as a Nissan Blue Bird Engine, that produced 205bhp on stock boost. With the help of few fellow SR20 fanatics, the swap was completed in a weekend.Since that first leap, Michael hasn’t looked back and has been modding tastefully to reach the level he is at today.
The car has been dyno’d several times over the years with the stock T25 setup yielding 220whpand 220lb/ft @ 12psi.After the upgrade to the infamous GTiR T28, manifold and supporting fuelmanagement, the car put down 280whp and 280 lb/ft @ 16psi.The car has been auto crossed and seen many trips down the drag strip. The best 1/8 mile drag time is 7.9 @ 91mph with slicks on 18psi.The only ¼ mile passes made were done on street tires.Even with a lack of traction, the car was able to pull down a 12.9 @ 111mph on 14psi.Plans for some ¼ mile passes on slicks are forth coming in the near future with his goal being in the 12.2-12.5 @ 114-115mph range.
Michael has given his SE-R a name of Eleanor, because, similar to the Mustang in the movie “Gone in 60 Seconds†this Sentra is his fabled creature. He believes that some will own that one car in life in which that they will never part with until death. This is sure one Sentra that is pampered and protected.
