S14 Low-Budget Front Lip

Home Depot Front Lip for S14

By:GrilledCheese33

I waited until my factory lip got scratched and then I had to try this.

Heres how i did it: 8 ft of cove base, 2 rolls of scotch double sided mounting tape (5 lb.), Total cost= $11!I was gonna take the factory lip off, but i got to thinking that i could use it for reinforcement and not tape to the paint!

So I cleaned the factory lip and the inside of the cove with alcohol and let it dry. Then I rolled one line of tape flush withe the bottom of the bumper. Then I used what I had left for a 2nd row on the sides and in the middle.

I then rolled the stuff on flush with the bottom of the bumper, and in 10 minutes i have a nice lip!My friends say it doesn’t bend back at all, so thats great!Enjoy the pics!
