1996 Nissan 240sx – Owned by : Carlos (C.s240)
I grew up working on pro-stock cars and drag cars. All the work that has been done on my car has been done with my own hands, so being asked to be the Ride of the Month is an honor. I used to work for a Nissan service shop in the Caribbean and I remember when I used to do Pre Delivery Inspections on 240’s. I always envisioned having one but the price tag was way out of my league.
I was looking for a daily driver while I worked on my project car, an 88 supra with a 2JZ single turbo swap. I had some minor problems and ended up losing interest in the supra, that is what led me to what I drive today.
When I bought my 1996 240sx in 2001 it was a black, and automatic. My first mod was a set of Eibach springs, a set of 18′ wheels, and an intake. Like any other person that wasn’t enough, I turboed the car while it was still automatic. A while later I did the 5 speed swap. As the car progressed a new set of wheels was installed, 300zx brakes and LSD form a J30.
The car is a daily driver and I love to drive it. I have been to numerous shows and NICO meets all over the states, so hopefully that will never change and maybe one day I can have more than one car at the meets.
