Annoying Door Chime Removal

As many of you may have found out, the warning chime can get quite annoying at times. If you’re not going to miss it, here’s my write-up on how to get rid of it. This shouldn’t take anyone more than 10 minutes.

First, I’d recommend to disconnect the battery.

My dash happens to be out right now, but you only need to take off the driver’s side kick panel.  The location of the chime is circled in the picture, which should give you an idea of where to look for it once the panel is out.

Disconnect the circled connector.

Voila, no more chime sound!

You may choose to remove the chime for ultimate weight reduction. It is held on by one bolt, for which you will need a phillips head screwdriver, or a 10 mm socket.

Reinstall the kick panel, and enjoy the sound of silence.
