The Datsun 410 and 411 sedans and wagons, penned in European style by famed design house Pininfarina, laid the groundwork for the Datsun 510. Versatile, durable and well-designed, the 410 and 411 “Bluebird” cars saw duty in a variety of venues, from off-road rallies to cross-country vacation haulers, to local commuter use.
Very few clean examples remain today, and values on these desirable classics have increased substantially of late. The SSS model, utilizing the 1.6-liter engine found in the Fairlady Roadster, is the most sought-after model.
NICOclub completed a restoration of a 1967 Datsun WRL411 SSS Wagon a few years back, and featured the rescue and revival of another pristine Datsun 411 wagon earlier this year.
