RB Push/Pull Clutch Conversion

This is a how to on converting a rb26dett bell housing pull style to push style.
Tools needed:
Metric sockets
ratchet and extension
crescent wrench
11/32″ drill bit
drill
M10x1.5 tap
c-clamp

Parts needed:
Rb26 bell housing
Z32 front cover
Z32 throw out arm
Z32 throw out bearing
Z32 pivot ball
front cover gasket
slave cylinder

1.remove the front cover off of the Rb26 bell housing.

2. Clean gasket material off of front of bell housing.
3.Remove front cover off of Z32 transmission.
4.Remove pivot ball from Z32 transmission front cover.

5.Drill the hole that is right above the original spot that the pivot ball came from with a 11/32″ drill bit.

6.Tap the hole with M10x1.5.

7.Thread Pivot ball into new location. I used a cresent wrench because i had one laying there.

8. Install the Z32 front cover onto the rb26 bell housing.

9.Install the throw out bearing and throw out arm onto the front cover

10.Now align the slave cylinder up on the side of the bell housing.

11.Mark the holes to be drilled and drill with 11/32″ drill bit

12.Tap holes with M10x1.5

13.Install slave cylinder on bell housing.

14.Install bell housing on z32 transmission.
This installation will be covered in another how-to.
