BY: Towncivilian
If you have a 2001-2004 R50:
Step 1:
Take a cloth-covered flathead screwdriver and pry the clock/vent assembly towards you from the right side.
Step 2:
Two screws securing the trim will become visible. Unscrew them.
If you have a 1996-2000 R50:
Step 1: There are two screws at the bottom of the trim. Unscrew them.
Step 2: Gently pull away the trim starting from the bottom and working your way up.
Step 3: Unclip the power socket connector and move the trim aside, or disconnect the hazard switch and rear defroster switch if you’d like.
Step 4: There are two screws below the stereo cluster. Remove them.
Step 5: Pull the entire assembly out. You now have access to both DIN sockets.
Installation is reverse order of removal. All screws are identical. Remember to reconnect the power socket and switches.
