NICOFest at the Dragon 2019 Registration
Welcome to the 8th annual NICOFest at the Dragon! For those of you who will be attending for the first time, we can't wait to see you! For those of you that have been before, we are looking forward to seeing you again. Here is all the info you need to know on the event, including the registration form. The NICOFest at the Dragon event takes place at Fontana Village Resort in Fontana Dam, NC—just minutes away from the Tail of the Dragon, one of North America's most iconic driving roads. Every year, NICO hosts an event at the resort during Labor Day Weekend to kick back, relax, and enjoy the mountains. Dates August 30th - September 2nd Accomodations Fontana Village 300 Woods Road Fontana Dam, NC 28733 800-849-2258 Ask to book under the group rate for NICO. You must book by July 31st to guarantee a room. After the 31st, the rooms are released to the public, and because of the holiday, they will fill up quick! Friday Rafting Trip Carolina Outfitters 715 US Highway 19 Topton, NC 28781 828-488-9819 The Friday rafting trip is a fun and relaxing adventure down the Nantahala River. Individual and 2 person "duckies" are available, as well as 6-person rafts. These are easy class 2 rapids and are not strenuous. Water will be cold! Reservations are required and are separate from your NICOFest registration. You can reserve by contacting Carolina Outfitters and tell them you are part of the NICO group. We will be heading down the river at the 11:00am time slot. You'll want to get there by 10:30am to check in. The initial rate will be $29.99/p for a single person boat with a slight discount for multi-person boats.http://www.carolinaoutfitters.com Registration Due to lack of registrations, unfortunately this event has been canceled. If you have paid for registration, you will be refunded. Although the event is canceled, there are still a handful of people attending for an informal weekend hangout. We will still be doing rafting on Friday but events for Saturday will be organized within those that attend. The majority of people attending this year will be staying in cabins 630 and 618, so if you are looking for a group of fellow attendees, please stop by one of those two cabins.
