Alright, so, this is what we start with. Test vehicle is a 1995 240sx base model (which, for the trunk, means nothing, as the SE model is no different in the trunk). I enjoy nearly every aspect of my car, I love it, but there was always something left to be had when I’d open the trunk or door at night or in low-light areas. What can we do about that? Well I have the answer…
Vroom-Chirp: Tired of your hard arm rest?
Here’s how i did it.
1. Get your self some:
– foam of your choice (fabric store)
– vynol / leather / or pleather of your choice ($10.oo per yard at a fabric store)
– Rozor blade
– office stapler, if you choose to do it my way, or another way to make the vynol stay in place while your streatching it.
2. Pull off your arm rest by removing the two screws at the bottom holding the hinge on. and wiggle the arch out carefully.
3. Remove all the screws, including the one hiding under the latch.
240sx2nr95’s Kouki S14 Sideskirts Installation
First off, if you haven’t done so, clean off all the old adhesive.
Next, sand down and paint your sideskirts, or have them painted.
If they’re already your color, perfect move on to the next step!
After sanding, I used a high quality exterior enamel satin black paint to paint the sideskirts, my mudflaps and my lip.Resists rock chips and well and holds up nicely to the elements (going on 3 years on the lip without needing a repaint.)

S13 Low-Budget Front Lip
I know this is an old trick but I was so proud of my $15 lip I just had to post it! I put it on the other day and I think it looks pretty good.
Its no PDM lip but it also doesnt make me cringe every time enter a high angle driveway or hit a dip in the freeway at 80 mph.
I paid $10 for a whole 20ft roll (comes in a box) of baseboard molding in the “office supplies dept” of Home Depot.
Then $5 for a box of the wide head autobody screws from AutoZone. The wide head screws dont leave the dimple effect if you refrain from over tightening.
