Walbro Fuel Pump Install (S14)

December 10, 2009 by Greg

You will probably want to do this install with a tank that is half full, if you do it with a full tank, you’ll have to reach down into the fuel to get the pump out and again to reinstall it. if you do it with an empty tank, the new pump might not prime and the car won’t start until you add more fuel.

Now that thats out of the way, on with the install!!!

I took a few pics when I installed my Energy Suspension steering rack bushings today. It was a easy install, takes about 30-40 minutes without any complications. I took a drive across town after the install and I could feel a difference in the steering with the new bushings. It was tighter and more responsive.

S13 Low-Budget Front Lip

December 10, 2009 by Greg

I know this is an old trick but I was so proud of my $15 lip I just had to post it! I put it on the other day and I think it looks pretty good.
Its no PDM lip but it also doesnt make me cringe every time enter a high angle driveway or hit a dip in the freeway at 80 mph.

I paid $10 for a whole 20ft roll (comes in a box) of baseboard molding in the “office supplies dept” of Home Depot.

Then $5 for a box of the wide head autobody screws from AutoZone. The wide head screws dont leave the dimple effect if you refrain from over tightening.
