240sx2nr95’s Kouki S14 Sideskirts Installation

December 10, 2009 by Greg

First off, if you haven’t done so, clean off all the old adhesive.

Next, sand down and paint your sideskirts, or have them painted.

If they’re already your color, perfect move on to the next step!

After sanding, I used a high quality exterior enamel satin black paint to paint the sideskirts, my mudflaps and my lip.Resists rock chips and well and holds up nicely to the elements (going on 3 years on the lip without needing a repaint.)

Vroom-Chirp: Tired of your hard arm rest?

December 10, 2009 by Greg

Here’s how i did it.

1. Get your self some:
– foam of your choice (fabric store)
– vynol / leather / or pleather of your choice ($10.oo per yard at a fabric store)
– Rozor blade
– office stapler, if you choose to do it my way, or another way to make the vynol stay in place while your streatching it.

2. Pull off your arm rest by removing the two screws at the bottom holding the hinge on. and wiggle the arch out carefully.

3. Remove all the screws, including the one hiding under the latch.

LED interior lights: Trunk Lamp

December 10, 2009 by Greg

Alright, so, this is what we start with. Test vehicle is a 1995 240sx base model (which, for the trunk, means nothing, as the SE model is no different in the trunk). I enjoy nearly every aspect of my car, I love it, but there was always something left to be had when I’d open the trunk or door at night or in low-light areas. What can we do about that? Well I have the answer…

How to Install Aerocatch Hood Locking Pins on a Carbon Fiber 240sx Hood

December 10, 2009 by Greg

I’ve always been a proponent of using hood pins with carbon fiber hoods. However, the typical hood pins out there, although functional, have less than stellar form (i.e. Sparco hood pins). The ones that have some form, don’t work too well (i.e. carbon fiber key lock pins which have been known to not hold the hood in at all because of the weak lock-to-hood design).

How to: Fender Rolling and Fender Pulling

December 10, 2009 by Greg

I dropped by to visit my buddies’ local 240 shop today & decided I should roll and flare my fenders to prepare for upcoming modifications. There are numerous DIY articles and posts floating on the Internet, all with tid bits here & there, but all of them seem to be missing some info. What I will try to do is combine all that knowledge and put as much of it into one post as possible. I’ll probably still miss a lot of info, but hopefully this will help some of you guys out there who want to run bigger tires/less negative camber with your crazy low offset & wide rims…

Ok, you’re in your car, rolling around, and it’s pouring outside, but you love fresh air, and even if you’ve changed your cabin filter recently, open your windows to let it in.What happens next is you get an unexpected shower coming off of the roof, passing the rain gutter, and landing in a pool on your leg/ arm/ door panel.Well, Nissan gave an option to eliminate this problem, OEM rainguards!

akademikONE’s S14 manual seatbelt into S13 install

December 10, 2009 by Greg

I just thought I’d do a quick write-up on how I did my s14 seatbelts to s13 conversion. I hated the automatic seatbelts, so I bought some s14 seatbelts from the classifieds.

Removing the stock seatbelts is pretty straightforward, so I’m not going to post it. I also forgot to take pics during it, that’s why.

Adrians13’s DIY Sidemarker Flashers

December 10, 2009 by Greg

Sidemarkers. Seems like Nissan went through the trouble of putting them on your fender and having them light up, but they don’t do much else. If you want the increased safety and neato look of a sidemarker that flashes in sync with your turn signals, read on!
